About korean pine

Korean pine(Pinus koraiensis) is one of the most precious and rare trees, mainly living between latitude 40-50 in the belt from Changbai Mountain to Hsiao Hsing-An Ling in the North East of China, and it only distributes in some areas in Japan, Korea and Russia. Natural pine forest derives from hundred million years of evolution and alternation and named “The Tertiary Forest”. It is national class-2 importantly-protective wild plant and listed in the International World Conservation Union(IUCN) - Red List of Threatened Species ver 3.1 - (Low Risk) in 2013.

It has a long life, usually 6-7 hundred, even 1 thousand years. Therefore, In China, it signifies longevity since ancient times.

                                             

About pine nut

Pine nut is the seed of pine tree, also named Haisongzi, Pine nut has relatively low production, with only around 55,000 MT worth of harvesting in the world.

it is rich in varieties of nutrition, such as fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamin-A, vitamin-E, Calcium, Phosphorus, Ironetc.

 

Moreover, it has rich Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, which can reduce cholesterol and triglycerides and suppress shrinking of the cells. In Qing Dynasty, a famous doctor- Wang Mengying praised pinenut as fairy fruit. And in the Compendium of Materia Medica, which is written by Li Shizhen ,pinecone was also highly praised for its lots of medicinal functions.

Deep Processing of pine nut

1. Production of organic pine nut oil

Extraction of pine nut oil, residual oil dregs food after extraction as well as its producing method, that is obtaining pine nut after exuviating and removing skin; obtaining pine nut oil by exceed critical CO2 hydro-extraction; to get out the residual oil dregs after extraction to dry, then to grind into powder, and adding Chinese chestnut powder and walnut powder to mix as well as dry again to produce complex pine nut nutrition powder. Or using the pine nut as whole body, one-half crash, quarter crash to extract residual oil dregs, then to add into a flavouring liquid composed of common salt, liquorice, aniseed, pepertree, Chinese cinnamon, fine ginger and water to bloat, then produce dainty instant pine nut. Compared with the existing technology, the present invention improves the oil-displaced ratio, and produces dainty instant pine nut foods using extracting residual dregs, improves the using ratio of the pine nut; the line exceed critical CO2 hydro-extracting technics which takes raw ginger as anti-oxidant, ethanol as entrainer, is more advanced.

 

2.Extraction of pinolenic acid

Pinolenic acid is a fatty acid contained in Siberian Pine nuts, Korean Pinenuts and the seeds of other pines (Pinus species). The highest percentage of pinolenic acid is found in Siberian pine nuts and the oil produced from them.

Pinolenic acid (PLA) concentrate in fatty acid ethyl ester (FAEE) was efficiently produced from pine nut oil via lipase-catalyzed ethanolysis using a recirculating packed bed reactor (RPBR). The effects of reaction temperature, molar ratio, and residence time on the concentration of PLA were explored. It can curb the appetite and be seen as an ideal treatment of obesity and high cholesterol. Besides, it can cure a variety of inflammations and widely used as medicinal industry. 

 

3.Encapsulation of liquid pine nut oil.

Microencapsulation is a process by which we apply a protective coating around a small particle called the active. The coating keeps an active ingredient locked in and stabilized until the release of the material is desired. It has following characteristics:
